The Calvert County COVID-19 Small Business & Nonprofit Relief Fund Grant provides limited financial relief to local businesses that have experienced significant economic hardship or unusual expenses because of the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Both for-profit small businesses with commercial locations in Calvert County and nonprofit organizations serving Calvert County are eligible. The grant may be used for expenditures related to business interruption or expenses due to the public health emergency. Repayment is not required for any funds received through the grant program.
Grants will be awarded by business type in the following amounts:
- Sole Proprietor: $1,500
- Micro Business (1-15 employees): $5,000
- Small Business (16-30 employees): $7,000
- Nonprofits: up to $10,000
Beginning Thursday, June 11, 2020, you may visit the application portal to create your user name and password.
You should also use this time to familiarize yourself with the eligibility criteria for this program by reviewing the FAQs (updated June 12) and begin gathering the documents that will be needed to supplement your application. Please read the FAQs carefully prior to beginning the application process.
The application portal will open at noon Wednesday, June 17, 2020, to receive applications and will be available through 11:59 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020. (Closing date is subject to change based on the number of applications received.)
