The SANS Cyber Workforce Academy – Maryland is partially funded by the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation’s EARN Maryland grant program and has partnerships with multiple employers. We are happy to announce that in the last few months we have added several new partners to this list. These partnerships will create more opportunities for graduates of the Academy upon their completion.
The Academy provides is a scholarship-funded program designed to provide veterans, women, and other career changers with industry level training and certification so that they can find employment in the cyber realm. Dozens of veterans, women, and other career seekers have already graduated from the Academy and found gainful employment.
While we have been so excited to see this progress, we want to continue spreading the word about the progam and closing the gap between the supply and demand for cyber security professionals. We are still accepting applications on a rolling basis and will have cohorts starting throughout 2019. That said, the deadline for the next cohort is September 30. Students in this group will begin their coursework at the start November and can accept to finish around January.
