Is your business one of the 25,000 Non-employer Businesses in Southern Maryland?
The US Census Bureau defines a non-employer business as one that has no paid employees, has annual business receipts of $1,000 or more ($1 or more in the Construction industry), and is subject to federal income taxes.
The Business, Economic and Community Outreach Network (BEACON) of the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University is conducting a very short survey on behalf of the College of Southern Maryland, in cooperation with the Economic Development offices of Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Counties.
Your responses will be kept confidential. No personally identifiable information will be shared with survey sponsors and only aggregate findings will be reported. This information will be useful in shaping more business-friendly public policies in Southern Maryland.
