WORKING IN OFFSHORE WIND

Friday, September 9, 2016 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM (EDT)

Offshore wind is no longer a vision in the distant future. The first GE 6 MW turbine was installed in Atlantic waters in early August. By September, America will have its first offshore wind project generating clean energy off the coast of Rhode Island.

The beginning of a U.S. offshore wind pipeline has also been established with the enactment of the Massachusetts Energy Diversity Act (H.4568). With the stroke of a pen, the U.S. offshore wind pipeline – 1600 MW over the next ten years, has been put in place. This landmark legislation creates the demand required for businesses to make investments in the emerging U.S. offshore wind market, which will provide numerous supply chain opportunities and thousands of jobs.

If you are a company looking to either diversify or enter the U.S. market, there has never been a better time to get educated, involved and actively supportive of additional government policies.
